SWOT analysis!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

From the title itself, all of you can guess what I'm gonna write about, right?!

This topic is actually is about the talk that I had with a motivator before...

What he said to me was that to improve, we need to know about ourselves. Listing our traits is a simple way to do it. Use the SWOT method.

SWOT stand for :-
S = Strength
W = Weakness
O = Opportunity
T = Threats

Strength and weakness is the internal factors or what we can list about our traits.

The external factors, opportunity and threats are influences that affect us from our surroundings like, family, friends, community, and environments.

I tried this...but it seem that I really need to improve on a lots of things, huhuhu.

Sorry for the short entry but I'll try make it longer next time...

Till then, feel free to comment. Bye....

HECTIC TIME!!!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

OKAY...it has been quite long that I didn't open this blog...so much backlogs(urgh!). Have been very busy these couple of weeks. With the past few tests and few that are to come soon, I been fairly occupied as a student. Social life? I haven't quite have time to enjoy free time right now...

I have several topic as drafts, so I think it is a high time that I start to post them. (My time management sucks, I know[sorry])

However, for this entry, I think like to discuss several factors that might have caused me to have headache with my time management right now...

NUMBER 1 IS(drum rolls)...NO VISIBLE TIME PLANS.
Everyone can say that they plan their time. I also planned my time. BUT the question is HOW MUCH effort that we actually put to plan our time? Anybody can say they plan their time but ask them how they plan it. Maybe most will answer like this "plan aku ada la dalam kepala otak aku ni!"...Well, I did kept much of my plan in my mind. But guest what? I will only achieved 30% (at most, huhuhu) of the original plan in a day with that method. I even forgot my appointment with someone on the evening before.(manusia mudah lupa, huhuhu)
A few weeks back, Puan Azfahanee give us task to post our to-do list. Through that list, I found out that I actually managed to achieved 70% of all things that I have listed. I managed to do a lot more that way. We can clearly see the difference between the two figures.

So, my suggestions are:
1. List out all what we need to do on large sheet of paper
2. Set how much  timeline for each task e.g. study FIN533 for 2 hours from 9 p.m.- 11 p.m.
3. Set task priority (VERY IMPORTANT!). This is so that we know what we need to achieved first.
4. Scratch out what we had done.
5. Leave a comment area the spread sheet. To keep note any changes that we had to make. Or maybe to congratulate yourself on a job well done.
(I am currently in the transition process, so this still need many trials and errors)

NUMBER 2 IS SLEEP!
Yes, I am serious! Sleep is important but it can be problematic if you oversleep or sleep too little. Maybe I had both problems, huhuhu. Okay, back to our topic. Oversleep can caused several problems like:
1. You can miss your class.(This is a very bad issues)
2. You lost valuable time which you can use to achieve your plan (happen to me)
3. ....( you can list out what happen to you when you overslept)
However, lack of sleep also can bring other problem like:
1. Sleepiness (and you start to yawn in class, which is very rude to your lecturer)(on personal note, I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO PN AZFAHANEE FOR YAWNING IN HER CLASS ON 17th APRIL...I AM VERY SORRY MADAM)
2. YOU WILL BE BLUR on what you should do that day. This is not productive, people.

NUMBER 3 IS PROCRASTINATION
I think this already explain much it means. So, STOP wasting time. STOP thinking "nanti nanti la buat", "ada masa lagi".

That all for now, I need to go to bed. Feel free to comment.

Good night and Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Time management!! my To-Do Lists

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Firstly, I would like to apologize to Pn Azfahanee for the delay in posting my entry due to problem with my internet connection at home.

Time Management. From the words, we know it relate to time, how time is managed.
In my opinion, everyone manage their time. However, the question is how they manage it. Some may unconsciously plan what they want to do in a day in their mind, some will write it down and think what they want to do, and some(or most of the people) just follow the flow.
I do write my plans(occasionally, huhu) if I consider it to be important.

The Mind: The bright side & the dark side

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Mind help shape how people live. How they think influence their attitudes which in turn reflected on their appearance.

The beauty of mind is that it can be changed, it will move on how we want it to be. Be the owner of your mind and you will be the master of your own self. I don't quite remember from who did I quote this from but the saying really show how much mind can influence our live.

So why let ourselves be gloomy? Train our mind to THINK POSITIVE
!

There are many benefits from positive thinking:

1. It affect your confidence level. People with positive mind have high self-esteem. It really shows on them. People with high self-esteem can be seen from how they talk, how their walk, and how they dress-up. They can look smart while being respected and attracted by other people. Negative thinking will not make this happen.

2. Shape how they think. Positive thinkers do not focus on problems but how to solve it. So, rather than running from problems, like a negative thinkers usually do, these people face their problems. By doing so, they can learn from their mistakes and avoid it in the future.

3. Self- respect. Thinking positive help people to think before taking any action. This is because they respect themselves, they abstaining from doing wrong and unethical things which helps them to preserve their honor. People that do not have self-respect will not respect other since they do not even respect themselves and they take action without thinking the consequence to themselves nor other people.

Tonight, I will only list three. If there are any more logical benefits, I'll keep in mind to update this entry.

Feel free to leave your comment.

Until then, good night and Assalamulaikum w.b.t.

About myself

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

First thing first, let me tell something about me. As much as I can..muahaha...
During my days with ROTU UiTM Arau
My name that is given by my beloved parents is Zaharudin (which means The Upholder of Religion). Throughout my 23 years of life, I was given a lot of nicknames like Din, Din Burger, Gerek, and the most recent is Aru but I prefer to be called as Din. For my family and people close to me, they call me Ateh.
I am a Muslim.(till the day I die, InsyaAllah)
Papa and Mama
My old man name is Said bin Amiruddin. Currently is a Chief Financial Officer (contracted) for HICOM Facility, a branch of HICOM Holdings which is located in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
My mother, my lovely mom, Zalila binti Mohd Yusof is a full-time housewife.
I'm the third son from six siblings with two older brothers, a younger brother, and two baby sister. These are  the names of my parents' fruits of love:
1. Zalhairi bin Said
2. Zalhairul bin Said
3. Zaharudin bin Said (Me!)
4.Zamirul Zaman bin Said
5. Syafiqah binti Said
6. Safa Saniah binti Said

The eldest, Zalhairi, which I call Along is married to Siti Ainor Mohd Yatim. Their first son, Ayman Khair bin Zalhairi (my nephew) is a very cute. I love to pinch his cheeks (hahaha). My brother is an Executive (young executive) working for Toyota on logistics. My sister in-law is currently pursuing her PhD. Majoring in Mathematics (but I'm can't remember what the exact term).
Along, Kak Long, and their baby, Ayman Khair
The second,Zalhairul, I call him Angah is self-employed. A businessman that sells oysters, which much of his customers are Chinese. Not yet married (soon I hope).
The fourth, Zamirul Zaman, or Aman for short, is a student at JMTI, Juru, Pulau Pinang.
Angah and Aman
Then come the girls, Syafiqah(16) and Safa Saniah(14). Both are students in SMK TTDI Jaya, Shah Alam.
Kakak and Adik
That is all about my family.(I think...)

On 12 May 1989, I was born to the world. Born and raised in Sungai Petani, Kedah. My education background are as follow:
Primary school was SK Petani Jaya, Kedah till Standard 2. Then transfer to SK Ibrahim till the end of primary education. Ended my primary education with 3A,2B for UPSR.
I entered and studied in SMK Khir Johari until Form 3. Left the school after PMR, bringing along my 7A, 1B PMR certificate with me. Continue my secondary education in MRSM Beseri, Perlis. Finished my school days with 6A,3B,1C.(I'm really bad with Add Math) for my SPM.
As luck would have it, I was offered to further my education for Diploma at UiTM Arau, Perlis. (PERLIS AGAIN!). I studied Accounting Information System or shorten to DAIS during my Diploma.(I do not wish to disclose my final CGPA here, sorry...) Now, I'm currently in UiTM Merbok (stuck back in Kedah) for my degree in Finance.

About my personality, huummm, people have their own impressions about me.However, I view myself as a confident young man, like to joke with my friends, easy to talk to and be open-minded in conversation with others but I'm not without flaws. I get bored quickly with what I do, need friends to keep me on track. Can cook but I'm bad (very bad actually) with other type of house chores. Quite disorganized with works.

Hobby and interest: anything that piques my interest. I am a man that love to try new things.

That is all about me. Feel free to ask anything.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
